We established this program in 2002 on learning that, in the poorest areas of the suburban shanty towns, several hundred children under the age of five were suffering from malnutrition so serious as to cause irreversible brain damage.

From 2002 to 2008, nearly 10 000 have received one meal 5 days a week in about 15 centres scattered around the capital.
