Here is an extract of a letter received by the St. Vincent de Paul Society following the visit of a representative of MISSIO-Austria on his return from Sudan:

Dear Kamal,

We arrived back safely in Vienna from where I would like to send you my best wishes. Presently we are trying to retain the atmosphere and the vivid impressions we brought back from our trip to Sudan, which was, indeed, too short.

I also wish to thank you once again for your kind hospitality and for all the trouble you have taken on our account. Thank you for your help which allowed us to form an accurate picture of the extraordinary activities your organization is carrying out in Khartoum, in favour of displaced persons.

I was simply overwhelmed by the number and the different types of activities you have been able to set up! So many people are benefiting from them, and thus being offered, for the first time, some hope of survival and a better future!
